John Gandolfo is IFC’s Vice President and Treasurer, Treasury & Mobilization.  Mr. Gandolfo leads IFC’s Treasury & Mobilization global team in delivering on IFC’s strategy to create markets and mobilize private capital for development, in debt and equity, leveraging IFC’s decades of experience crowding in third-party institutional investors. The team manages over $100 billion in liquid assets, global market borrowings, and derivatives transactions.

Alemayehu is a seasoned investment professional with over 30 years of experience covering emerging markets of Europe, Asia, Latin America, Middle East, and Africa.  He is currently Director of IFC’s Equity Mobilization Department, AMC.  Prior to this, Alemayehu was Director for the South Asia Department, IFC heading all of IFC’s activities in the region.   In this role, he has led the significant expansion of IFC activities in the South Asia region, delivering a record investment volume over $15 billion investment in Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, renewables, inf
