Prior to joining AMC in July 2023, Bongiwe was an investor due diligence associate at Forward Risk, a corporate investigations, intelligence, and risk advisory firm headquartered in Washington, DC. In that role, she provided investment intelligence to clients such as private equity firms, and investment consultants, supporting their M&A activity, joint ventures, and international business transactions. Previously, Bongiwe was an economic analysis consultant at the World Bank’s Governance Global Practice and a business development & partnerships associate at Acumen, a nonprofit impact investment fund in New York, NY. At Acumen, she focused on pipeline building for high-net-worth individuals and donor-advised funds. In South Africa, Bongiwe worked as a researcher at the Public Affairs Research Institute (PARI) and as an office writer at Amnesty International. She is an alumnus of Transparency International’s School on Integrity. In 2024, Bongiwe was selected as a McKinsey Next Generation Women Leader for the EMEA region. 

 

Bongiwe holds an M.S. in Foreign Service, specializing in Global Business, Finance, and Society, from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service (MSFS) and a B.A. in International Relations, summa cum laude, from Drew University in Madison, NJ.
